My dumbass thought his name was Richard Balls. That's why he made this dish.

  2. Matt Robbins says

I think Richard Blais is a great chef. However, I think the way he presents himself is pretentious and not humbling at all. Especially on Top Chef. Yeah, you won. Congratulations. So did 14 other people and their heads aren’t in the fucking clouds.

  3. Mandy Robinson says

I made this but I substituted ground turkey for the ground pork, added Italians breadcrumbs to the meat, and actually made it into a meat sauce instead of meatballs when my balls decide to fall apart. SOOOO good!!

A recipe that don't make me want to kill americans for their "italian" food. In fact i might try it. It sounds quite well done.

  6. Barristan Selmy says

Did you say bone marrow spaghetti. Well, you can count me the fuck in. I'd roast the marrow and have it on top with the parmersan. Oohhss did i just next level this?

  14. parijat shukla says

Why do Americans use only canned tomatoes? I've almost never seen anybody on YouTube ever actually use fresh tomatoes. Sorry for ignorance.

  15. Eddy Saikia says

sauce to pasta ratio is way off!

  16. Rowan Wagner says

    the recipe is shit
the chilli flavour is way overpowering
and the meatballs have so much ricotta and nothing to firm it up like egg or breadcrumbs so they just fall apart

  17. vilko skorlich says

    Marinara Sauce
Pasta alla marinara ("mariner style" pasta) does exist in Italy, but it’s usually prepared with shellfish or olives—sometimes both. In the United States, the term "marinara" refers to the simple tomato-based "red" sauce that’s ubiquitous in Italian-American cooking, slathered on everything from pasta to meat.
    Is Spaghetti and Meatballs Italian?
Nothing says comfort like a big bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. And, nothing says Italian food like a big bowl of spaghetti and meatballs—unless you are Italian.
If you go to Italy, you will not find a dish called spaghetti and meatballs. And if you do, it is probably to satisfy the palate of the American tourist.
Depending on who you speak to, onions are a controversial ingredient too – and don’t even think of ever combining the two in a single dish.
Americans are messing with their grandma’s grandma’s grandma’s recipes.

  18. Tubebrerry says

Those are pretty unorthodox-looking meatballs. A 50/50 mix of ricotta and meat? What is ricotta doing there in the first place, instead of bread crumbs and egg? I'm surprised he didn't acknowledge the weirdness of his recipe.

That's a flavorful bite to eat, just by the ingredients alone I can tell. Will have to try this recipe myself.
